Bug Bite Relief: Make an Itch Roller

My thirteen-year-old daughter was scratching and scratching at a spot on top of her hand. I asked her about it and she showed me not one, but two large bug bites. Relief is on the way with our itch roller, plus the same 4 oils in her bath salts!

Lavender used alone works “ok” for this, but if you really want some soothing, this roller is needed.

How to make the Itch Roller: 8 drops each Panaway, Lavender, Purification, and Tea Tree in 5ml bottle.Top with grapeseed oil or carrier oil of choice.

Where to find: We use Young Living essential oils. You can find them here. You can find grapeseed oil at any grocery store on the same aisle as other cooking oils. We choose grapeseed because it is less greasy and it’s quickly absorbed into the skin.

Our Itch Roller. I just repurposed an empty Panaway bottle and topped it with a roller fitment.

Update: Ten minutes after applying the roller, I asked her if her hand was still itching and she looked at me funny, then said “Not at all. I actually forgot all about it.”

We are looking at much more time outdoors in the days and weeks to come, and you can bet I won’t be without my DIY bug spray or this roller!
